Provide audit services to PwC clients within the Banking and Capital Markets office.
Learnt and developed audit, accounting, excel, aura and professional skills.
The University experience is highly positive, the placement experience at PwC is mostly positive.
There are some awards for internal recognition, however it is difficult to feel valued in such a large office of a large firm.
The Program is well structured and is reviewed regularly to determine if changes are needed to the structuring, such as in what years of the program certain exams are sat. This ultimately makes the course even more organised/structured.
There is support available from training providers. There is more support available at university than on placement it seems.
There is less support offered by the employer than is offered by the university. Also support offered by the employer is largely dependent on which teams you are assigned and who your manager is.
Due to PwC providing accommodation for us, the Salary we receive is above the costs we incur while on placement. Also due to the new overtime policy for placement students, the payment we receive is highly competitive.
There are opportunities outside of work, however due to the timing of the placements being during "busy season". Many of the opportunities offered are put on hold.

If my friend was looking for a career in audit, I would recommend PwC.
PwC look for potential employees who work well in a team. Emphasise this skill and don't worry about not having any accounting/audit experience as you will be trained on the job.
