We had different people that have different roles at Cisco to talk to us. We learned about what a sales do the target that they have to achieve. We did various presentations on stage, using a light board...etc. We had lots of talks about internships and apprenticeships and different future paths instead of following conventional paths.
I learned about what a sales do, what an IT company really is, it's not just about the computer science there are a lot of other departments where we don't need to know about IT. I learned to be flexible in things. I developed my presentation skills and teamwork skills.
I really enjoyed the programme as you can listen and hear people with different roles at Cisco hearing their personal opinions. Even tho we are in a sales department we still had the chance to go see and visit the technology side of things e.g. Visiting Cisco Modeling Lab (CPOC lab)
I like how they ask us for feedback and we don't have to write our name down. They let the girls change to another campus if's it's too inconvenient to go to the one that they were assigned to do the placement. They provide us with good lunch and drinks and snacks and everything e.g. notepads Each individual is assigned to different department that specifical suit that person.
Very well structured timetable with breaks in the morning and the afternoon. We have time to talk to some of the cisco current workers individually. I love how we can to listen to different people at Cisco about the company and the different roles they do the flexibility that they have as a company
A lot, they are very nice we were allowed to speak to them individually. They are really supportive they really taught me how are we should really follow our dream, so sometimes we want to do, every there is so unique and different the subject you do don't matter at all
What does this mean? I do not have a employer as I said above in 6a " A lot, they are very nice we were allowed to speak to them individually. They are really supportive they really taught me how are we should really follow our dream, so sometimes we want to do, every there is so unique and different the subject you do don't matter at all"
There is no salary for this work experience, but lunch is included (free)
Yes, I think so. I know there were "hackathon" for charity and For example for the apprenticeship programme, I know they have 5 days of doing any volunteer work of their choice. There are so many different programmes at Cisco.
Yes
The programme is well structured, I've learned a lot, even tho this is not long but I still think I've become more matured and gained more confidence
Be passionate about technologies, me motivated and be willing to learn
