I am a trainee audit associate working on a client's financial statement accounts such as cash, trade receivebles, trade payables, fixed assets etc. It involves interaction with the client as well as more experienced members of the audit team. I am based at different locations depending where the client is based.
I have taken two exams so far which will go towards the ICAEW CFAB qualification. I went to an external college for learning of these exams and this was very well organised. We had lots of materials to enable us to study and although it was challenging, it was rewarding. EY has also allowed me to take part in an internal course for Mental Health First Aid training and I will get a certificate for this. This was very inspiring and I am very grateful that EY gave me the opportunity to take part in this. EY has also allowed me to gain confidence in interacting with clients in a professional way.
Yes
A great way to gain an insight into the financial world, interact with a great variety of people and gain exposure to a global company.
I know it is easier said than done but don't be scared! Everyone you come across in the application process is very friendly and would have been through a similar process to get to where they are.
