  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Job title: Client representative support Daily task includes me to make sure the project continues to stay on programme, liaising with stakeholders and other external to business. One of my project currently need surveys to be carried out so I've been managing this going out to tender this requires me to liaise with different surveying company's, putting together tender packs etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I'm currently attending level 4 project management training I've achieve a agile project management qualification in the first couple months whilst being at mace. There are also a long of inhouse training for example we have technically reading then have the opportunity to view what we have read physically on different mace projects. On my project I have learnt how to develop my communications skills and to be more confident when approaching people external to the business

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme there are a lot of apprentices so we are able to share what we learn with one another as well as meet new people. Mace have a great support system so whenever you need it it's always there. Also the team I woke in are very supportive they always make sure I have enough work they involved me in new stuff often so that I am able to develop

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Mace?
  • I feel very valued at mace my line manager and team push for me to slow take on more reasonability I have recently been put on my own small project to manage myself with support if need be. I often meet up with my line manager to discuss my different goals during that time we review these and continuously update them, my line manager praises me when I do well but also helps provide point for improvement

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very organisedd and structure we have often pre planned training days, studying we are allowed one day a week free time concentrate on this, we have a great buddy and mentor system for example my buddy is a graduate they got through similar experience being on the grad programme so this helps when needing support

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider offer excellent training sessions and have a clear layout for course work we are also provided with a skills coach who can help guide us with how to manage time, how to improve our work etc. Also we meet new people during are classroom sessions who also do project management but from differ net company we can use this to build are networks for the future.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have a lot of support from mace, there are lot of things in place which you find answers such as speaking to your line manager or HR. Support is very accessible this can be from talking to your team, booking on to different training days etc.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Very well, travel can be expensive whilst working up in London but my salary is still able to cover this and Location is good not far from London bridge. Social cost are minimal and usually reasonable if we need to pay.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Mace know how to hold great events! social events which helps build more networks, project team events to get to know your team better. there are different charity and volunteer days you can get involved in

  • 9. Would you recommend Mace to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because mace have giving me a great platform to start my career there are many experienced people at mace which they can pass over what they have learnt. Also compare to university it has the benefit of working and studying get valuable on the job training.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mace?
  • I'd say be yourself don't be to worried on the interview or assessment days along as your well prepare you'll be fine. Also be truthful and honest with your answers.
