My apprenticeship is as a Civil Engineering Apprentice. I am currently working on a railway bridge which is being repaired and re-painted. The daily tasks vary widely from surveying and inspections on site to dealing with paperwork or using CAD in the office. I also have responsibilities such as briefings and inductions.
I am currently gaining a Level 3 BTEC subsidiary diploma. I will also be going onto gain a BTEC level 5 diploma and a level 5 NVQ. Bam also send me on various training courses and give me e-learning to improve skills. I have gained various skills about being the workplace and the actual details of certain jobs I will have to do.
