MEP assistant. My daily tastes are to assist engineers with works on site and to complete my training plan. I interact with both internal and external sources on a daily basis via email, telephone and face to face. I'm currently working on Chelsea barracks.
I have now completed my first year and am halfway through my second year of my HNC. in this time I have learnt a lot of technical knowledge about building services engineering. I also have to complete internal training modules and a portfolio which I have learnt company standards from as well as more in-depth product and system knowledge. I have also completed SMSTS.
I enjoy all aspects of my work program. the team I work with are helpful and friendly. the company is a good one to work for with lots of room for progression and plenty of friendly helpful and enlightening staff. it has met my expectations entirely.
I feel very valued at Mace. There's plenty of room for promotion and they are always pushing us to be the best we can be. Every year we get recognized at the apprentice awards and various reviews show our progress throughout the year.
So far throughout my programme I can say its reasonably structured. in the first year there were a few things that could have been a bit confusing in terms of what was expected. However these have all been ironed out and the programme is now on track and to a high standard. there always support when it is needed.
Mace have supplied suitable support throughout the process.
Everyone I have come in contact with at Mace has been supportive and helpful.
The salary that I am currently on is enough to live on and there is plenty of room for the salary to increase as and when it is suitable for my ability and level of input into projects.
There are plenty of opportunities outside of day to day work. we are encourages to do as much as possible and give back to charities and communities.
Yes
On the whole Mace are a great company to work for, they provide great training and support through that training whilst also paying a fair wage and ensuring staff happiness. Overall a great company
I would advise that other people applying to work for mace sell themselves during all stages of the application process. they will appreciate people standing out from others and putting themselves out there to be the best they can be.
