I am a trainee construction manager working for mace. I have involvement in numerous packages on site ranging from the façade to the dry lining. I am responsible for the installation of the precast stairs installation on site.
I have developed in many of my skills and gained a lot, in terms of communication, managerial, and time management. I have been enroled in many training courses alike my SMSTS.
I am enjoying my apprenticeship programme very much, the people I work with are very engaging in the apprenticeship scheme and get me involved with numerous activities. the company has invested a lot of time any money in to the development of my skills and career and have now funded me through university.
Mace group have developed my skills and I feel like a key member of my site team. I have been allocated to a project where I can see the key phases of the project life cycle and develop on my managerial skills within these key phases.
the apprenticeship programme is very well structured and have allowed me to develop on my skills and knowledge. My mentor has taught me many things in regards to materials, installation methods, drawings, processes within the business, aswell as allowing me to develop my skills by allowing me to manage my own area on site.

Mace pays me well in reflection of my role on site. The company pays for my travel costs and has recently given me a pay rise in reflection of my development and responsibilities in the company.
I have been invited to many social events within my company, from company wide events and site events. when I am not working I often go out with my friends and engage in sporting events.
