I enjoy the work i do and benifit from changing placements as it gives me a overview of all areas of the bussiness so when i come to choose my career i will benifit.
I feel the company values its apprentices and strives to ensure they develop into well trainined engineers. Management support apprentices and work hard to get us involved in projects and help us develop our skills.
THe programme has clear guidance on placements, we had a strong induction learning basic enineering skills, and study is good as we get day release. We have a lot of support of the training team. the task deligation differs by manager .
We get good support, tutors are approchable, and are usually good at there jobs.
The employers give lots of support, and will help in any way possible if an issue ever arises, managers are always happy to help.
The salary is good, best apprentice wage i know of. An accomidation package could be an improvement though, offering cheap accomidation for people who travel to join the apprenticeship.
There are lots of opportunities for extra work, but sometimes only a select bunch of people get offered these opportunities and the rest of the apprentices seem to be pushed aside.
