I am a track apprentice. I haven't fully started my day at the depot yet, but I have gone through 21 weeks of theory based learning. This involved doing various assignments on health and safety, mathematics, mechanical principles, etc.

I enjoy the company culture and what it stands for. I enjoy working with my team.
Everyone has a role to play at Network Rail, everyone is recognised for their individual roles.
Organisation could be a lot better. Before leaving the facility where we did the theory based learning, we did not get lots of information for the next step of the programme, which involved going to the depot. The whole process was confusing and could have been handled better.
During the 21 weeks, the training provider were Babcock international, they provided lots of help and guidance regarding assignments. If we had any questions, or were unsure about something, they provided all the necessary help and made sure they solved the issue.
