I am a project Management Higher apprentice and work within project controls, currently in the planning team. I carry out some planning and use IT a great deal
Currently studying for a project management qualification. As well as other training courses such as first aid and presentation skills.
I find the work enjoyable and interesting as well as working well in a team with great people. National Grid provides a very safe and diverse culture. It has exceeded my expectations.
I feel very valued and recognized for the work I carry out by both my manager and other team members. I have took part in some important projects an my opinion has always been valued.
We receive or program schedule two years in advance and it is incredibly structured and organized. Brilliant support network.
Receive excellent support and contacted usually twice a week and the training provider is always available and usually gets back to me within a day.
Excellent support from the employer and wellbeing is considered to a massive extent. Support is very easily accessible with help lines and though my line manager. Always keen to support.
My salary has allowed me to move away from home and pay for bills as well as being able to afford to do the things that I enjoy. All travel and training is paid for as well as food and accommodation when training. We also receive laptops and work phones which are free of charge.
Numerous opportunities such as sports clubs and events. Organized by newnet which is a network for all new starters within the business
