My day-to-day role is fairly varied and I have worked on a range of tasks since starting with the company 6 months ago. I mostly help prepare documents for client meetings, ensuring everything that is required is included. I also input data into the systems to update client's records. I have also been involved in everything from answering the main office phone to small analytical tasks.
I have learnt many new skills, particularly learning my new computer systems. I have developed my confidence speaking over the phone in a professional manner. This professional development extends further; as this is my first office job I now feel at ease with the 9-5 corporate culture.
I am thoroughly enjoying the Apprenticeship with UBS and grateful for the opportunity.
I only have to look at the amount of time and money invested in the apprentices to see how valued we are.
The programme is well structured with a month long induction/training at the beginning of the apprenticeship with regular training days thereafter.
Fitch learning provide us with vast amounts of learning materials and all the tutors are friendly and approachable.
I have reliable support from my line manager and HR contact.
Salary/package is fantastic and I highly doubt there is many firms paying apprentices the same amount
I was lucky enough to get to go to the Lake District with my fellow apprentices for a week of team building at the start of the proramme. There are also many charity/volunteering opportunities with UBS which I hope to engage with soon
