My Role within Atos is a DBA (Database administrator), I provide day-to-day support for Atos’ clients’ managed databases. This includes a wide range of responsibilities, from providing health checks, updates and patches, to analysing and resolving potentially major issues
Multiple qualifications such as networking fundamentals, cloud, coding logic, desktop and mobile operating systems. Also learning Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS
I enjoy working though the problems and finding solutions.
I am involved in a lot of work such as been given the option of doing new tasks such as patching and my manager feels capable giving me these tasks.
Induction, support and training are great. There was an error made at the start however the programme itself is great
I receive lots of support from either the tutors in the classroom while training or from skills coach, whenever I encounter a problem.
I am always supported, either from my team or my line manager. If I ever need any help or have a question then they are always happy to help.
My salary is about right to meet my costs.
There are the occupational events put on such as the apprentice Christmas party or the ongoing apprentice holiday.
Yes
Atos has provided me with a great opportunities such as learning on the job of a DBA whereas it would be hard to get this job without prior experience. The training provided, is great, I am always supported and there are many opportunities for when my apprenticeship ends.
