First year is mostly at college but then you get to see the work that goes on directly by following a mentor around.
I have learned a wide range of new skills in various different forms. For example i have learned new engineering skills as well as my communication and social skills.
I really enjoy the programme however college can be a bit slow at times however this is necessary so it's best to approach it with an open mind and positive attitude.
I feel like I am an integral part of the company even though I am only an apprentice. This is one of the reasons I enjoy the job so much.
The programme has a good structure and I am well aware of it however college can sometimes be disorganised.
I receive adequate support from my training provider and it is readily available when I need it.
My employer offers lots of support and is always there to listen and help me whenever I am unsure of what to do. If I have any issues, I know I can talk to them about it.
The salary is very good, you can easily afford everything that a young person would need or want.
There are lots of opportunities to volunteer and meet others outside of work and get involved in helping with incidents which may be on going.
Yes
They make you feel very valued, pay you well and give very good chances to develop yourself as an individual.
Go for it, you won't regret it.
