Majority of skills programming based, Beginner C++ qualification from QA. Presentation, sales and general business skills from IBM Apprenticeship training. Most skills gained from on-the-job learning.
I enjoy the people I work with and my job role. I also enjoy the flexibility of training I can plan.
I feel appreciated in my job role and on my project.
Good structure for first two years, some lack in communication. Training planned well.
Support easy to find, help is always there.
The majority of support is from fellow apprentices, and co-workers on my project. Support is always there in the apprenticeship team, but not always needed.
I spend a lot of money on travel, which is not covered or paid for. But this was expected when taking the role. Salary meets current living and travel costs. Expected pay rises have not been as consistent as expected - may not be due to apprenticeship team.
Mostly company/business sector wide events.
