My role within IBM varies as my official title is JMC but can be something else within anouter team. I am an Automation Analyst who looks into different businesses and their processes to see whether or not they are fit for automation.
I have learnt many new skills along the way. I am certified in many platforms I never knew of before. I am knowledgeable in many different areas and systems. Examples include knowing different autoamtion systems and being certified in Analysis platforms like Celonis.
I enjoy my program quite a lot as I get the opportunity to try something new and challenge myself at every turn. With my apprenticeship now complete, I am progressing onto a degree apprenticeship so the chance to progress is open.
Recgonition is always given by my manager and my project managers that I work with. Feedback is always pushed to be provided by either myself or from others. I feel with the roles I have completed, I have been valued in each.
The plan set out for the 3 years was very detailed and thorough. From the 2 week induction and preparation to the well-spaced out mandatory training, in order for it to not interrupt any key client work. Actual client work falls under the standard IBM format which is well structured.
My manager on the apprenticeship scheme also acts as a mentor through the adivceon hwat to do IBM-wise and also with progression through the company. They are mote than happy to support me with any query/issue I have
IBM has a variety of schemes/communities/procedures in place to support employees across multiple areas/issues (e.g. Mental Health). It's very welcoming and necessary as you don't feel left out
My salary package meets my costs very well - Living in London previously, livings costs were quite high (e.g. rent) but with the salary given, it was quite tolerable.
There are quite a few opportunities outside of work in events such as Giveback (giving back to community through events etc). IBM also encourage you to takeon external activities to keep the work-life balance consistent.

I've had quite a positive experience for the past 2 1/2 years and believe I will continue to do so. I highly reccomend IBM as an Apprentice employer to any student
