I am part of the Siemens Finance and Commercial Academy. My job involves various financial and management accountant tasks, rotating around different areas of the business gaining a broad range of experience and a diverse skill set.
Whilst on the Scheme, you study CIMA exams to gain a full chartered management status. This allows you to develop organization skills as you need to allocate your time well to study as well as do day-to-day work. As well as this, the scheme involves interaction between both internal and external individuals which allows you to develop a range of skills including communication, leadership and responsibility.
I enjoy my job as it involves doing real work that matters to people rather than doing irrelevant work that no-one cares about. It is a very welcoming company with a lot of employee benefits to make work enjoyable.
My involvement within team projects is very high and I feel that my contributions and ideas are really valued. Regular catch-ups and meetings with the team allow me to express any ideas/ concerns I have so the team interaction is very high.
It is very well organized and there are so many support programs available to me. Regular training means that my knowledge is constantly evolving and the work given to me is challenging and stimulating.
There are so many support programs available if I am struggling or need to talk about something. Huge amounts of guidance are at my disposal so training is never an issue.
Support and guidance is always available via my employer as they seek to support staff wherever necessary.
The salary is very competitive and Siemens regularly reviews this depending on where you are based location wise. Personally I am financially comfortable based down in Poole.
Siemens actively promotes volunteering and actually allocates days for which staff can leave work and take part in charitable/voluntary tasks. Siemens also holds seasonal events such as Fates and Parties for staff to get involved in.
Yes
I feel valued and empowered to work for such a rewarding company.
Really focus on the experiences you have had in the past and what skills you used and needed/developed in order to turn those situations into a positive outcome. Express yourself in your CV and tell them why you are such a good candidate for the role.
