I was placed in the Finance function and my current role is in the overseas team, my main focus is Turkey and I pay employees expenses who are currently livig in Turkey and I also pay invoices through a system called SAGE.
I have learnt new skills on systems that I did not use until this placement.
The company does so much for it's employees which encourages to work hard, they offer so many benefits that not many companies offer. I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship so far, I have met some friends for life. Considering I would never have put myself in Finance, i have really enjoyed all my placements so far and want to pursue a career within Finance.
In my placements I feel i have really come out of my comfort zone and worked really hard and got the job done that needed doing. I have receieved excellent feedback from my managers, some have even ffered me a place for when i finish my apprenticeship. I have been involved within a volunteering tasks e.g. St Catherines Hospice, we recieved good feedback to which felt good helping such a wonderful charity.
I feel that i receive all the training that i need in order to complete my apprenticeship. I have 12 weekly meetings with my assesor and manager to see where i am at and how well or not so well i am doing. I have regualr NVQ meetings to ensure i am on targegt.
I receieve as much support as i need, if i have any issues they are happy for me to contact them or set up a meeting to discuss this.
A lot, they understan that we are apprentices and we need time off from our work to either go to college or volunteering days. If i ever struggle with my NVQ they are always there to help me and support me.
Very well, we get paid a lot more than other apprentices and when people apply for the apprenticeship, they know they are getting a standard apprentice wage. However, within 6 months its already gone up. In my first year i managed to get a mortgage on my first wage aswell as paying for my car and other outgoings, as i knew it wouldnt be long until i get my first payrise.
yes, we often get email sents out asking everything if they would like to vlunteer or help out.
Yes
Great company to work for, they offer so much to their employees, it makes working more enjoyable and you get paid to work.
To be yourself, big yourself up on your application process as it will do no harm.
