I am a Commercial Apprentice on the Business Administartion Apprenticeship scheme 5 weeks from my completion date. I have been in 4 placments around the business in different areas within Commercial and now in my exiting role. My role is in Contract closure.
I have gained a Level 2 Customer Service NVQ and a Level 3 Business Administartion NVQ. I have also passed my ECDL Spreadsheet course and a short Project Management NVQ and both were externally taught to us by Runshaw College. Workwise i have gained many skills relevant to the Commercial function and skills that i can take into any future job.
I love working with my current team and every previous team have been just as great. Both placement staff and traning staff hav all been very helpful and kind. When i first started i didnt have many expectations as i wasnt sure what to expect, however it has been totally above and beyond what i did expect.
I feel very valued by my direct manager, team and wider staff within the company. Whenever you have completed a good standard of work people are always keen to comment to tell you how well you have done. I have had excellent oppurtunitys to get involved in tasks and projects within my team and within apprenticeship projects. Each of which made me feel valued.
We had an initial two week induction based at the Apprentice Traning Centre then we were prepped for life within working teams on site. During our working weeks we had a days release for college where we recieved training for our qualifications, during which we have all recieved great support from work teams and training staff. Since I have been getting closer to my completion date I have been provided with a senior mentor within the Commercial function.
I have recieved a great level of support from my assessors and know that if i have ever had any issues I could go to them. The accessibility of the support has been brilliant we have been provided with contact numbers,e maisl and adressses if we ever needed help. The guidance with problems was good and always proactive.
My manager provides alot of support to me in every way possible. If I ever had a problem and i didnt feel comfortable speaking to my manager I could always go to my mentor for the support.
The salary here is above national average wage for apprentices and during the apprenticeship you have milestones of completion. Each time you complete a milestone you get a wage increase.
There are plenty of oppurtunites. You can either go to company events or because you meet that many people you get to go out with them afetr work. The social life side of work is brilliant.
Yes
I have enjoyed myself that much here that i couldnt doubt no one else wouldnt enjoy it as much.
Take extra time and effort when completing the application form.
