Ranges from general maintenance of machines unless a system is down and needs a replacement part.
Better use of tools and software
Enjoyable although college seems to drag on
Always Someone to contact when I need it
Work side is well organised, college may vary depending on which one you go to
For class training the provider does give a lot of support
Always available to help if it’s needed
Salary starts low but I’m hopeful it will pick up quickly
When fully competent should have lots of opportunities
Yes
In the sector I am employed on you get to enjoy a freedom of not being stuck in the office and get to visit different hospitals and see something different every day (mostly). There are also benefits siemens provide like the car scheme where you get a new car every few years
Haves some practical skills and be confident in the way you speak. You should be prepared to take some criticism when a customer is not happy with the quality of work or when a machine has continuous problems and they become frustrated. Also it’s best to record everything you do and what other people have to you to do, to cover yourself in case of a bad event
