Apprentice Planner, Assisting with CL32 Programme, KPI's and AsBuilts, communicating to the construction team (drainage and structures teams). I go out onsite with various engineers to understand the works that happen on site.
Yes I have been IFE Training and loads other courses that Costain have given me the opportunity. I have learnt my personal and soft skills in my time on the apprenticeship.
It is better than expected, my work colleagues are great people to work with. I enjoy my work and job every single day and I haven't had a day where I didn't want to go to work.
I feel that my line manager is happy with my work and I do feel that I am getting more recognition within Costain and other construction companies. I believe my work is being overseen by hierarchy on the A14 Project which is great.
The programme I am on is well structured as my managers are building me over time for planner role. I have a meeting one a month for skills development in my role with my line managers.
From the training provider I received a good amount of support for my coursework and learning. I do like the course that I am on because it is general overview of construction, so I am learning different aspects of construction.
The support that I receive from your employer is fantastic I really can't thank Costain enough for all of their support and helping me progress in my career.
My package that I receive from Costain is great for someone of my age for sure. I do feel that if my salary was to higher amount, I feel social costs and daily costs would be easier to manage. I feel that my hours are a lot and it wear me out, so having less contracted hours would help me.
When I am not working, I compete in Karting, Martial arts and keeping fit.
Yes
Costain is a staff friendly company and they always wanting to help with your learning and development in the company.
I would say, make sure you are ready for impossible and for anything to happen.
