I work as an apprentice software engineer. Day to day work includes designing software, implementing software, testing software, solving problems and coming up with new ideas and approaches to software development.
I have learned lots of programming skills, as well as learning how to program in a range of different programming lanauges.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme. There is lots of support available and you well looked after.
I feel valued by BAE Systems. The company cares about you and cares about your future and does everything they can to help you reach your potential.
Pretty well structured. Weeks are structured with 2 days at university and 3 days at work. University days vary from year to year.
Lots of support is available at UCLAN at any time. Lecturers are helpful and are quick to respond to emails.
BAE Systems provides maximum support at all times, both inside and outside of work. Everyone is caring and committed.
Salary is fantastic, can't really complain there!
There are many opportunities outside of work. This includes the likes of Outward Bound and many more activities which are advertised throughout apprentice resources.
