I am doing an advanced apprenticeship in engineering. During my first year I have specialised to be a Toolmaker. Now I am doing placements to find out which area I would like to have my job in.
I am always learning and improving my skills that I have received. This includes practical and mental improvements.
I love my apprenticeship
I feel valued when in work and feel important. I get internal recognition by being sent forward for awards, and also externally as I have been in national newspapers, this makes me feel important and a part of the company.
It is very structured, I have always known when I should be moving on to different sections. I also know when I am ahead or behind on my apprenticeship work.
As much as I want, I can always come to them

I am very happy with my salary, it gives me enough to cover my costs and also save up for my future. I have money over to be able to go out with friends and travel to different places.
Yes, there are multiple opportunities that you can partake in whilst not at work. There is volunteering with charities, becoming part of the RAF. Also work has Gym and plenty of space to walk around in your breaks or lunch. Outside of work I like to play netball and to go skiing, and also I enjoy going stockcar racing
Yes
As I am loving my time here, it was defiantly the best thing for me to do rather than to go to college or six form. I am getting paid to do the job I love.
Always work your hardest to achieve the best you can.
