Transformational Technologies Engineer, attempting to seek out new and innovative manufacturing solutions for the benefit of the company.
Product environmental awareness and ITAR awareness. Gained a broader knowledge of how the business works at a higher level.
Work is enjoyable, gaining valuable knowledge from experienced engineers that have worked on many different programs all over the world. Engineering in general is not as exciting as it is made out to be however is just as challenging as I expected.
apprentices are very highly valued within BAE Systems. Everyone is very helpful and attempts to get apprentices into real work to challenge them.
Seems to be fairly well structured considering that the course I am on has only been running for 3 years.
All the support I need to readily available from multiple different people. University is very helpful, tailoring the learning to our needs and ensuring that we are safeguarded and enjoying the course.
Support is always available at work. The company makes sure to let us know that we have multiple routes to getting support for whatever issues we may have.
Salary is very generous and meets all my needs.
There are various opportunities outside of the day job. this may be open evenings, air shows or going abroad with work. With some hard work to find the opportunities, the opportunities are there.
