  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • BAE Systems is a great company to work for, currently I am enjoying my apprenticeship to the max. this is because of many reasons such as the teams that I work with on a day to day basis are very welcoming and understand your situation as they have been through the same path throughout their career. the company itself is always checking to se if you're happy doing what you are doing and if you would like to change anything. this gives you the confidence to speak out if you are not happy with anything allowing you to enjoy your placement without worrying about having to keep you thoughts to yourself.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BAE Systems?
  • when im at work I constantly feel valued as if I was a regular employee, this is because the people who you work with don't see you as an apprentice, they try and get you involved in stuff that may be out of your comfort zone but it is something that will help you progress as an employee at the company. this means that you are never left to feel like you aren't capable of doing any work but that they want you to get involved so you earn a name for yourself at the company.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • each placement is co-ordinated to happen from the start of the year, this means we are given our yearly placements from the start. each placement that we enter we under go a mini induction that shows us around the department, whos In the department and what we may encounter whilst in the department. this is also followed by a objective setting with the assessor to make sure that we have planned work to do in the placement. every few weeks we have a little catch up with our assessor to make sure that we are okay in what we are doing and have no problems at work or at home.

  • our training provider is HETA, when we are at heta we are given support on the work that we encounter, also if we get stuck when we are not at college we have portals and pathways that we can use to gather information. if this fails and we are still stuck we can use email to contact the assessor on a day to day basis and they will reply and help as best they can
