I am a high voltage apprentice for Siemens' field team, I currently attend college on a Monday and perform work on site for many of Siemens' customers through the week.
I have picked up a number of level 2 qualifications and I am soon to achieve a level 4 HND. I have learned various skills on site for application in the field.
I enjoy my work and my team is phenomenal, interaction between me and every other Siemens employee is usually a pleasure. Siemens is very focused on keeping us safe in an ideal environment.
I feel we haven't had a lot of chance to interact with our managers and are very rarely assigned tasks, however it is very easy to find work among the various areas within the company such as on site or engineering.
It feels like sometimes they don't know what to do with us and that a lot of the time they aren't prepared for us wherever we are placed with the exception of a few departments. Our 2-monthly meetings aren't 2-monthly however they cover more than enough information.
Support is easy to reach if ever it is needed and responds fast to fix the problem.

I make more than enough to support me as someone who is living alone.
There are a number of opportunities outside of work such as the volunteering program, we just need to reach out for it.
Yes
I think it is a very supportive environment with many professionals available to teach you about the company.
Just be yourself, not every job is your job.
