Role involves planning and managing jobs. Ensuring the safety of everyone that will carry out the work and that the job is done effectively and on time.
Learnt a vast amount of new and topped up existing skills. The course was designed to make sure of that.
It is a very challenging role, and the path that leads you to qualify can be stressful at times, but the results will be worth it
As a trainee I feel respected and no one pushes you outside your comfort zone if you are not happy to do something.
As organized/structured as it can be. The amount of content in the course and the complexity of it can make it feel as though it can be improved at times, but really it's managed as well as it can be.
From experience, as much support as you need.
From experience, as much support as you need.
Compared to other industries, the salary/package is very competitive, but not the highest paid
Yes there are plenty of opportunities outside of work
Yes
Because of the benefits and the opportunities National Grid has to offer.
I would ring National Grid and ask to discuss the role you are thinking of going into with someone from that department and get a feel of what your job actually is.
