Energy management engineer apprentice located at Manchester site. Monday to Wednesday and Friday I work on a performance engineering operations course (PEO), with Thursday being a HNC day.
I will be working towards achieving a Level 2 PEO and Level 4 HNC. I have learnt different operations skills involving electrical wiring, fabrication, hand fitting, etc... In electrical wiring the skills I have obtained are to do with intermediate switches, ring circuits and much more. These relate to real life scenarios and I will defiantly use them.
I enjoy the team I have been placed within and get on great with all of them. I’ am thrilled with the department I have been placed within as the professionalism is superb.
I feel extremely valued as the treatment and cooperative help provided by work colleagues.
Work at the office has be fantastic, however work at the college could be improved a little more by having more activate engineering staff.
Enough to feel confident within the course.
I receive plenty of support from the employer to continue confidently with my work.
It meets certain financial requirements. Travel costs could be added to help.
I’d like to visit off shore/ on shore sites related to the department I work at in Siemens.
Yes
I would recommend Siemens to a friend because of the professionalism within the company and with the prestige it holds. It is a great company with aims to always improve.
Always be attentive with the activities and don’t be scared to question certain activities.
