Apprentice electrical engineer. Currently studying a level 4 HNC at Trafford college. Daily tasks: -coursework -lessons
Hand fitting, sheet metal and electrical wiring and testing skills have been developed alongside a further education In maths design electronics and engineering sciences.
I am always developing new skills and knowledge which is a good point in a apprenticeship.
I feel like I am well looked after by the company I work for.
not much is made clear by the college in respect to what work we should be doing and some subjects have taken well too long to get up and running properly.
support is given as and when requested and most tutors are more than willing to help as much as they can.
I haven't really needed any support from my employer as of yet as I only go into work in college holidays but I feel if I needed support it would be given.
the salary is good for a first year HNC apprenticeship but not too sure as of yet what our salary will go up to in the next few years.
I haven't been made aware of anything.
Yes
Siemens is a huge engineering company and full of very intelligent people and I feel that I and any other apprentice can gain extensive knowledge working with this company and all of the employees.
go for it.
