I work in the Change management team on one of CGI's largest programmes , co-ordinating changes from Start - Finish of the change process. Tracking updates and making sure the changes have been delivered and billed for.
Over the last 4 years with CGI I have developed alot of new skills. I understand the basis of working with clients first hand. Also learned the basics of Project Management skills.
I have enjoyed working for CGI for the last 4 years as i have had an arrange of opportunities and learned new skills from each role I have done.
CGI have valued me to a great deal. They encourage me to take opportunities and have helped to guide me in the correct path I would like to go in my career and are still helping me although I have completed my apprenticeship.
As I was one of the first apprenitces in Scotland for CGI the organisation/structure of the programme had some faults but they have taken on myself and other apprentices opinions on how they can approve and its great to see when new apprentices join thye have taken our advice onboard.
I cannot fault my tutors support from QA. Allen is always at the end of the phone if I am unsure on anything and always happy to help.
CGI have been a great support. Any help or support I have requested they have provided.
Working in the city centre can be expensive but CGI reimburse my costs of having to travel a further distance than my base office. So although getting to work can be expensive I do get some money back.
CGI have always encourged me to go to conferences and company events to get a better understanding of topics and a chance to network.
Yes
CGI has a wide variety of opportunities and has a great support unit for students.
Listen to what the current apprentices have to say about the programme and what improvements can be made as this will help future apprenitces.
