My role involves dealing with Bids and potential bids. I have the opportunity to look at potential work CGI will bid for and the requirements of each bid. I also manage to fit in mentor meetings to help support my university lifestyle. This helps me to organise and manage my time alongside my workload.
I have learnt many new skills since working for CGI. To start with I have significantly improved my communication skills. This was very important to me as its helped me to build up personal confidence and has really motivated me.
I do enjoy my programme a lot, I really enjoy having the flexibility to choose my own career. For me, I have the power to change the elements I don't like my job and proceed to learn elements I really enjoy. By being able to manage this myself I feel this helping me to excel and really kick-start a great career at CGI.
I do feel valued by CGI. On many occasions, I have had emails or a simple 'thank you' for the work I have done. I really appreciate having this constant feedback and support. I also feel very valued the way CGI listens to me, for example, they have invested in additional training courses and supported my role at university.
One area of improvement would be the structure. I don't feel as if the programme is well organised.
I receive alot of support and have been set up to have many contacts to talk to if I do encounter any problems.

The pay is ok, however, when looking at competitors it isn't great. However, there are many investments, for example, the degree that effectively is more.
There are many opportunities to socialise outside of work, for example, you can join social events of all ages and interests. For me, this is a great network to have as you get to meet and open so many opportunities.
Yes
I would recommend CGI as its a great start to a career and you are able to get experience in different roles you wish. It also has many perks such as a good social life, degree, pension and other bonuses.
I would adivse everyone to have a great idea of the type of role they would like to try and get into. By having this in mind it shows clear ambition and you also get to decide where you want your career to go. You are in charge.
