Service desk analyst, Support clients on a day to day basis. Handling and supporting IT systems and applications as well as monitoring a project for new applications. Dealing with new problems everyday and finding solutions to pre-existing faults.
Learnt many skills from the training a part of the scheme including, security, networking and cloud fundamentals. Also covered many key skills through the other training provider for the apprenticeship which will be very useful for the future.
The work is challenging and satisfying, the colleagues are helpful, the company and leaders have been supportive from day 1. the apprenticeship met my expectations and more due to the depth of the training and how the training and role were managed.
My work is appreciated by CGi and my team leaders as a whole. systems are in place to recognize and reward certain aspects where I have performed well. Recognition received by clients is also managed monthly so work can be recognized in that regard also.

Lots of support via monthly training appointments, always contactable by email or when they visit. training for exams well structured and on demand. I enjoyed the training even though it was abit daunting and challenging at first after revision and guidance this was not the case.
Support was always available should I have any concerns, Hr always available when needed. Everyone seems there to help should i need it.
No issues with salary, no issues with the cost of anything as most facilities are based on site and are reasonably priced. no issues with travel costs as the role doesn't require me to travel far distances and i live fairly local.
plenty of event take place both in and out of work. company provides discounts for plenty of out of work schemes and leisure events.

If going for a role in IT make sure it is something that you have a interest in. where it is not crucial it will give you a good base to work off of
