I am an apprentice software developer, i participate in a daily standup with my team and regularly communicate between team members. I work with java code mainly improving code and fixing bugs or defects.
Yes i have gained certification in RPA, attended many courses for relevant coding languages such as java and for web development.
I enjoy my programme a lot, the work environment is great and my colleagues and team members make it a great place to be.
I feel valued by CGI as i am part of one of the major projects and so i know i am providing great value to them as well as them to me.
My programme is well organised from within work and i have great support from my career mentor.
From my training provider the support could be better and isn't well communicated or structured at all.
I receive a lot of support from my employer if i ever had any issues there's definitely no lack of support.
My salary does meet my costs of travel including location and social if spent wisely.
Yes there are opportunities outside of work, CGI has a great sports and social club which encourages colleagues to spend time together bonding outwith work which i would definitely recommend.
Yes
My experience at CGI has been mostly positive and a great decision i feel as an alternative to attending university.
Be positive, ask questions! Seem interested!
