  • I am currently completing a level 6 NVQ diploma, alongside a engineering degree in software engineering at the local university. This is done alongside the working day. We take part in further development training, such as respect and British values training. Since joining I have learnt a great deal more than I previously knew.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The induction took place in the first week we started, it included all the essential information that we would need to know, such as the values of the business and how we are expected to behave while in the workplace. We were given mandatory online training that had to be completed by a required date. The studying that we completed was done around the working week (2 days a week). We have regular 12 week reviews to go through what we have been doing, and to set milestones for the next review. I think that the programme has been organised very well by the careers team.

  • Being one of the furthest from the workplace in terms of travel time from my group, the salary package is more than enough to support both my travel and living arrangements. On a day-to-day basis my salary is fantastic compared to most other schemes.

  • It is a fantastic place to work, the benefits are more than satisfactory and it is a great place to develop your learning and personal skills.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Don't rush the applications process, read through everything and make sure that you are happy with it, get the application proof read by friends or family or even teachers. Be yourself at the interview and that the interviewers are more nervous than you are. Practise on online tests for the assessment test, and make sure you apply no matter what.
