As an assistant design engineer I carry out my hardware design duties under mentorship, this involves collecting information, creating a design for it to be reviewed by my mentor and subsequent checker afterword's.
I have learnt many new skills, CAD design, Emergency first aid along with a vast array of other competency's required to carry out my job.
I thoroughly enjoy this scheme, I have learnt allot of new information and as every day is different it is always interesting.
The company makes me feel very valued, the recent issue of shares shows how much the company values what we do for them by re-distributing its profits to the staff.
The program has been well structured, we are given specific deadlines to complete all of our tasks like our NVQ's Btecs and Design licenses.
I receive as much support as I require, we have multiple reviews throughout the year and can seek aid whenever we feel its necessary.

My salary package meets my costs well for the level that I am at although I do not yet own my own home so those costs cannot be factored in.
There are multiple opportunities outside of work, we receive multiple emails about opportunities throughout the year and are given 2 days a year to do voluntary work paid for by the company.
Yes
The Company is great to work for they respect there members of staff and this is carried down throughout all levels of management, there are great benefits for working for the company like the pension schemes and share matching programs.
I would advise other people applying for roles at this company that qualifications are ideal but they do offered apprenticeship programs and other training courses for those who are inexperienced, so if you want to apply then try you may be surprised. I would also recommend that they are enthusiastic on training/Assessment days and to do some research on the company and what they do, but don't be afraid to get the answer wrong or tell them when you don't know the answer as they do not expect you to know the answers to every question it is just important to show how serious you are about wanting to work for such a great company.
