My daily tasks will vary depending on my placement. However currently I am aiding the factory floor in any production issues found and currently undertaking trails to establish production processes for contract bids. This involves liaising with different departments, customers, and suppliers on a regular basis as well as hands on trials and brainstorming coupled with document writing.
I've received a number of safety train courses, partly complete a HND, I have also completed a diesel engine course and magnetic awareness training. An Outward Bound course also allowed me to develop my personal skills by working in groups of apprentices from around the country. There are a seemingly endless supply of oppertunites to train, or better yourself.
I am usually integrated excessively well into any team that I am part of. the social and work aspect of all of the guys is great and theres a great appreciation for apprentices.
Most managers really appreciate the work put in and often I can prove myself to be more valuable and therefore get a much better review. Internal apprentice management is also good, everyone is known by name and it always feels personal.
aside from the unavoidable logistical issues, the structure and organisation is as good as expected prior to starting.
Any support I could require is readily given provided I communicate my needs.

As a young aspiring engineer, my wage is very comfortable and any struggles come from living to lavishly
STEM events, shows, and events are always advertised and spread across all apprentices that wish to participate.
Yes
BAE Systems gives the security and benefits of working for a large company whilst also having a personal feel to it which I feel is quite rare.
Do not rush any parts of the process, take your time, and be confident in who you are.
