  • engineering technician apprentice. currently full time at college doing a variety of class based and practical studies

  • learned how to weld, complete pipe fitting jobs and wire various types of circuits using different types of wire. learned various different theory subjects, including thermofluids, three phase and CAD

  • I am enjoying the programme very much.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BAE Systems?
  • I feel valued by my company and get recognition for doing well in my studies. Encouraged to be involved in all projects.

  • The programme is very well structured with an in-depth induction detailing every step of the course. All necessary training is provided along with support for at courses that are being sat.

  • receive a lot of support from the training provider, weekly contact with a training officer.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. They are always pushing me to do my best.

  • It meets it pretty well. leaves me with enough left over for social costs once all bills have been paid.

  • Due to being at college full time I am not fully aware of any outside opportunities at this time

  • Yes

  • good place to work and you gain many skills to help you in both your career and in life


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Have confidence in yourself and don't think that the skills you have wont be applicable or that you don't have the skills needed as there as you are taught the skills needed.
