Client Engagement Apprentice. Project management, Content curation, branding, advertising, promotion, to list some of my daily tasks. I interact with several people within the organisation that hold different positions including senior and middle management. I do not communication with anyone externally, as my role is client facing; my focus is internal.
I have learned how to code in HTML5, CSS, JAVASCRIPT. I now know how to use SharePoint and manage websites that sit within the intranet. I am able to create a variety of videos for digital signage.
I really like my team, they are very welcoming and approachable. I feel like my work has visibility and is beginning to make a difference within the organisation. Company culture is shifting in a positive direction and apprentices are being giving more autonomy and creative control within their roles. The experience is meeting and exceeding expectations. I am enjoying it very much so far !
I feel valued within my team and more importantly by my manager, there is still some way to go in terms of my working relationship with some of the other managers and those that hold senior positions. That will come with time I am sure. I am putting my hand up for literally everything, trying to immerse myself within as many aspect of the company as possible to help give me a better understanding of the company as a whole. Thus far, in the projects I have been part of I have felt like my input was recognised and valued.
My induction from fidelity was great, I have built a very good connection with the other apprentices as a direct result of this. Training is being provided by various other external bodies, the topics are relevant to my career development and I have enjoyed everything I have learned so far. the support from my manager is unparalleled and from the wider team i.e the HR team and co. My programme is the first of its kind and with that in mind it isn't as structured as some of the other programmes but with that said I feel the communication channels between me and those in charge is very good and I am being kept in the loop as changes are being made.
There is ample support provided Firebrand, my facilitator is trying his best to keep me in the loop and providing me with the right tools and materials to help equip me for my courses, which happen quarterly.
I receive a very high level of support within the organisation, from my manager, to my team and the company as whole. In terms of accessibility there is an open door policy and I feel like that a various avenues available to me should I need to reach out to anyone for anything.
I am ruminated very well :)
There are too many, so much is happening all the time; it can be difficult to keep up with everything.
Yes
It pays well. It is pouring an excessive amounts of resources into the apprentice programme. the general company culture is warm and inviting and should you make it known you want more responsibility, there is no hesitation to them thrusting you into the deep end.
I would recommend: Take charge of your own personal development. Ask questions and question answer. Don't be afraid to put your hands up for projects outside your scope. Ask to sit in with different teams.
