HND Engineering Systems SVQ 2 and 3 Pipe systems and layouts training Joing the institute of mechanical engineers Chance of further education at the end of my apprenticeship
I have worked with many knowledgable engineers with years of experience and they dont hesitate to pass on their knowledge. The company culture of changing to reward good work as seen my many new initatives that are being brought through.
I feel valued by BAE Systems as i have the chance to win awards as an individual and as a team to showcase my skills to the whole of the company. I have also had the opportunity to work through on projects myself whilst reporting back to a mentor detailing my progress whilst giving me steps of how to improve. I feel like my work has been recognised.
Lack of organisation regarding the placements plans and access needed for my computer programmes and security clearances for offices.
Weekly visits from the training officer to check on progress.
Supportive if we have an issue.
Could be better when compared to other apprenticeships that are local to me.
Lack of opportunities outside of work
Yes
Massive golbal company with many interesting projects and a bright future. There are many opportunities within such a large organisation to move between departments and learn new skills.
Be confident and learn your background knowledge on the company.
