Within my current role I can work both independently and collaboratively alongside a team of Software Asset Managers to maintain various Asset Management processes. My day-to-day tasks typically involve managing internal and external interactions with suppliers, vendors and customers through a busy mailbox; creating contractual summary reports and progressing software licencing renewal request tickets.
I have strengthened my own appreciation of the value of gaining knowledge by learning from my colleagues and undertaking several internal training courses upon joining Atos. These enabled me to begin to adapt suitably to operating within a professional and fast-paced working environment.
Joining a workplace full-time straight from college studies was initially a daunting prospect and slightly overwhelming, however I have enjoyed undertaking this challenge.
I feel suitably settled within my role so far, as the team which I have joined have been thoroughly welcoming. The presence of the active Atos "GIA" (Grad, Intern and Apprentice) community has made me feel highly valued as an apprentice.
The apprenticeship provider has a series of training blocks spread over 12 months to work towards attaining a Level 3 diploma in Business Administration, which is quite well structured into set units.
The tutors provide support both in the workplace and at the apprenticeship provider's training session; the majority of the studying is undertaken independently.
There are several check-ins through Appraisals with managers to monitor your progress and support you through both your apprenticeship classroom based studies and guidance within development of your job role.
My salary suits my needs very well; it exceeded my expectations for an apprenticeship and covers my social and travel costs suitably.
There are good opportunities to get involved in the Graduate Intern and Apprentice "GIA" Socials, which helps several employees across various Atos offices connect and get involved in events.
Yes
The company has a very active Apprenticeship community with lots of opportunity for social events and initiatives.
Make sure you take the time to research Atos beforehand, and get to know as much as you can about what your job role will actually involve.
