I worked on a number of clients, completing different areas throughout the file. I interacted with both the engagement team and the client in order to get answers i needed and to complete my work. I was responsible for Cash in the majority of the audits i worked on. I am a junior member of the audit team and had to document all my work clearly and efficiently.
I learned how to use Aura. I also improved my communication skills through regular contact with clients.
I enjoyed meeting new people and working in various teams. It was challenging at times but i feel i learnt a lot and ultimately enjoyed my time on placement.
I received very good feedback on a number of occasions which made me feel like i added value to the audit. I was often complimented on my documentation which motivated me to keep it up.
I feel the programme is very well structured. I received good coaching in the majority of the jobs i worked on and was offered help when i needed it. I was delegated tasks that were appropriate for my level of experience and never felt overwhelmed while on placement.
I was offered lots of support by the majority of my coaches. While some made me feel slightly annoying for asking questions, others were open and willing to coach me and tell me what i needed to look at to grasp a thorough understanding of the area i was working on.
We were given a people manager and a buddy to go to if we had any issues. We also have university contacts. We had a mid placement and end of placement meeting with our people managers which made me feel more at ease.
The amount i get paid sufficiently meets my costs.
I haven't done anything outside of work.
Yes
Good atmosphere, good coaching and an overall enjoyable experience. I feel i genuinely made progress throughout my first placement and am looking forward to learning more next year.
