Associate, involves auditing on a full-time basis across variety of clients. High level of responsibility.
Learnt about impairments, learnt about varying clients, internal training courses taught me new skills, developed professional scepticism, improved techinical knowledge
I enjoy the work I do, and I like seeing a long process reach its completion, with the reward benefitting me. However, long hours are regular and I dislike this, which is especially true for senior staff who are not rewarded for overtime. I like working as part of a big firm and enjoy the variance of the job.
I feel like I am important to the team, and staff always reward me for hard work with important feedback, recognition awards and praise. I always like debriefs, which rewards the team for collective hard work. However, I feel like my work in the overall picture does not have much impact to PwC, as once reviewed, it is then not looked at again.
Very organised - everything is organised, dates are set, work to be completed is clear, support is always good, sometimes a delay in replies but overall highly organised
A lot, they always make time to speak to you and the effort to help you.Sometimes a delay in responses, but overall generally good
Lots. Never have much issue, but they are always there to help, people manager very good
My salary is very reasonable for the work I do. Expenses and all costs, social costs are very good. However, I believe nothing is being done about overtime for associates/senior associates, and this must be addressed for job satisfaction, since hard work is not rewarded
Yes there are plenty of social aspects. I join in with the office weekly, many sporting activities to join in, lots of charity work and extra curricular
Yes
The rewards, the experience, the possibilities, the reputation of the firm, and the chartered accountacny qualification
Must be committed, as it is hard work. However, any career involving business/finance includes accountancy, and therefore highly rewarding and would recommend
