Assistant Procurement Buyer for Lloyds Banking Group. Approve Work Order and virtual Shopping Carts for LBG colleagues ensuring they use the correct suppliers and adhere to Master Agreements.
I have learnt about business/communication related theories. I have also developed existing skills used on a daily basis, e.g. brainstorming techniques.
I enjoy the modules related to my job, e.g. procurement, negotiation modules. I do find some of the mandatory modules quite basic, e.g. developing a presentation.
Very valued. LBG do everything they can to make their employees feel valued. I have received internal recognition from director level colleagues and that means a lot!
The support from my Learn Direct mentor ([This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]) is extremely good, always willing to help and give advice. I do not enjoy the mandatory modules, but I do enjoy the ones specific to my role.
My tutor ([This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]) is very helpful.
My line manager is always willing to help, however I do not have enough time in my day to complete the apprenticeship as well as complete my daily tasks.
I have no costs for my apprenticeship. Everything is based in my work.
There are always opportunities for further development outside of work with LBG. We also do D2MAD (Day to make a difference) volunteers days.
