Support applications within the bank. Planning, Coding and Deploying new functionality according to business needs.
UNIX, SQL and C# along with stakeholder & risk management. Also receiving Microsoft accreditations along the way.
The large amount of self directed learning can be challenging but is rewarding.
Lloyds Banking Group is a great organisation to work for and provides reasonable support and has a good work/life balance.
Training courses can be lacking without extensive additional study alongside the programme. Also the portfolio structure can also be overly time consuming in regards to documentation.
Barring basic support and training there is not a great deal of extra help or materials.
Good amount of progress checkpoints and face to face meetings.
Lloyds Banking Group provides a competitive salary in line with industry standards and has many locations throughout the UK. Travel and Hotel costs are reimbursed for work related travel through a relatively simple process. Social events are often held by individual teams or particular office locations and often include free food and drink.
The are a multitude of volunteering and charity fundraising opportunities both officially offered through Lloyds or through third parties which can be approved. There are lunch and learns or seminars you can attend to gain an insight into areas outside of your day to day role.
