Online studying with UCEM2 days per week with test and submissions every 2 months. a monthly day workshop attended face to face. The other 3 days per week shadowing mentor and other surveyors.
I am learning how to identify defects in houses, prepare surveys and provide comparative data. At UCEM I am gaining knowledge on Law, Construction and Sustainability in the construction industry.
I am enjoying the shadow days and find that this provides a much better learning experience.
I feel very valued this has provided me with an excellent opportunity to gain new career skills.
I am pleased with the flexibility that I am given in this training period. The equipment particularly the laptop arriving did cause problems for my studying.
The tutors are very supportive but the UCEM could be better organised with the timings on the course.
My RPM and mentor are very supportive and I am given a great deal of flexibility within the role.
I have continued to be paid my previous salary whilst I am training so this has been excellent.
I have worked for the group for 30 years and find them very supportive with many staff incentives and events outside of work.
Yes
I believe that the opportunities and support that they provide is excellent.
I would advise to research the Banking group and it's values to understand the bank's direction and if possible have a day to shadow an existing employee in the role prior to the interview.
