  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Online studying with UCEM2 days per week with test and submissions every 2 months. a monthly day workshop attended face to face.The other 3 days per week shadowing mentor and other surveyors.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am learning how to identify defects in houses, prepare surveys and provide comparative data. At UCEM I am gaining knowledge on Law, Construction and Sustainability in the construction industry.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying the shadow days and find that this provides a much better learning experience.

  • I feel very valued this has provided me with an excellent opportunity to gain new career skills.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I am pleased with the flexibility that I am given in this training period. The equipment particularly the laptop arriving did cause problems for my studying.

  • The tutors are very supportive but the UCEM could be better organised with the timings on the course.

  • My RPM and mentor are very supportive and I am given a great deal of flexibility within the role.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I have continued to be paid my previous salary whilst I am training so this has been excellent.

  • I have worked for the group for 30 years and find them very supportive with many staff incentives and events outside of work.

  • 9. Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • I believe that the opportunities and support that they provide is excellent.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • I would advise to research the Banking group and it's values to understand the bank's direction and if possible have a day to shadow an existing employee in the role prior to the interview.
