I am a Customer Advisor for Halifax (LLoyds Banking Group) which is a customer facing role including tasks like serving on a sterling cashier and performing tasks like amending profile details, performing counter transactions, completing ID for credit cards etc. I enjoy the role because no day is the same as the last one, there is constantly something new happening in order to learn resulting in every day being a school day and consistently being challenged.
I have learned lots of new things including things like, how to approach many situations in customer facing. How to operate a counter system and make risk in the work place a priority. How to treat everyone the same no matter what the situation is and how to be compassionate in times of need.
I enjoy the programme very much as it has been a huge confidence booster and allowed me to develop skills I doubted I would ever have before learning the role. It has helped me on a personal level in terms of having the confidence to face challenges.
I feel really valued by the group as they constantly support real life situations and follow up on the promises they make in terms of treating everyone fairly. I think every colleague is made to feel equal including myself.
My programme has been made clear to me and has been fairly organised.
My trainging provider is always there for supported when needed.
My employer constantly gives me support in whatever I want to do.
I think at my level we could potentially be paid more which every colleague would probably say as this is a benefit to everyone but I personally feel that my role can be under estimated at times and sometimes doesnt meet my needs in terms of salary.
I think if you look for them instead of waiting for them coming to you, there are certainly many opportunites.
Yes
Yes I would because the group will allow you to do whatever you want to do as long as you have a hard working mind set and the benefits that come along with the role are great in comparison to most companies.
I would suggest to others that they keep an open mind when applying to the group as there is so much to being a part of the group and I would suggest taking every chance that comes your way because if you give your all the group will always reward you for it.
