  • my job roll when I finish the apprenticeship will be mechanical technician. on a day to day basis on site I maintain the mechanical equipment on site including large rotating machinery used to compress gas to push it around the network. this work is often varied and challenging as the work changes due to different faults developing on the equipment that offers a new challenge.

  • the company offers a number of different training courses to enable the development of employees with training courses available both internally and external to the company to ensure that the best training is available for employees. while working for national grid I have been able to attend a large number of training courses and learn a large variety of new skills.
