  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy all aspects of the work side of my role. I do however believe some parts of the apprenticeship are time consuming and unnecessary.

  • I feel 100% valued in my current role. I am trusted with work that contributes to an overall aim.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • All aspects of what Lloyds have done for me have been great. The induction allowed me to integrate in to my team and start my network. The training so far has been good. Support from peers and my manager have been amazing. And the project I have been assigned to has many opportunities.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • From the apprenticeship side of things, we have had 2 full days training face to face which were worthwhile and good. However sometimes it is unorganised and the way things are done have lost credibility and meaning after deadlines are always moved and work to be done has been changed. In terms of support, there could be more.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Lloyds have been more supportive than I could have imagined. My manager is great and is always available despite being very busy himself. As well as this all employees I have come across have always been helpful and understanding of the position I am in and I have been given great opportunities to learn and progress.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • In terms of salary I believe it is low for the work I am doing. I am a grade B where as the apprenticeship cohort the year before who are doing similar work are grade C. This is roughly a 20% difference in salary. I am doing similar work (that I am competent in) to others around me who are on 40k plus and I am just under 18k. I believe the salary could be a lot better. In terms of expenses, Lloyds are great with this. They give good millage expenses and always cover hotel rooms, travel and food when away with business.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are lots of opportunities outside of work. I have been to helping Britain prosper with 4000 Lloyds employees recently which was great. We have day to make a difference where we can give something back to the community. And there is an onsite gym of which I regularly attend.

  • 9. Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • LBG is a great company to work for. They have the right values in terms of staff and customers. They look after you with all the benefits we get. And it is a relaxed environment in which you would want to work in.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • Be yourself, learn the History of LBG and the Lloyds values. Show leadership but also listen to other peoples opinions. Show enthusiasm and team work.
