My role is to serve customers first hand and deal with any queries they have there and then. If not then I will refer customers to see other colleagues such as banking consultants or mortgage advisors. I vary the types of jobs i have to do which could be on the till taking deposits / withdrawals or working on the help and advice desk and dealing with longer customer queries
I've learnt many new skills since starting this apprenticeship. I'd say that i've gained a lot of confidence when speaking to people and also i now always check, check and check again to make sure that i'm doing the right thing as being distracted could potentially lead to this like losing money from till
I enjoy what i do as it means i'm able to help people solve their problems. Having a customer come in frustrated and being able to make them leave with a smile on their face lets me know that i'm doing something right!
I feel very valued by lloyds banking group as they provide many benefits for colleagues no matter what job grade you are, they make sure all colleagues feel valued and safe by completing regular tests to see how colleagues feel
The apprenticeship programme is well organised as it requires frequent visits from a coach who tasks you for a time period and asks you to go out and gain information and learning
The training provider is always there if i have a query regarding work they've set or if i feel that i'm not achieving anything. If i ever have a doubt that i'm doing something wrong i will always ask them
My employer has supported me an awful lot throughout my apprenticeship at LBG, when i make mistakes he is able to coach me on what to do instead and when i have successes he makes sure that i know that i'm doing the right thing
I believe that the salarty is a perfect amount for the job role as it pushes you to work harder in order to get a better pay package
There are many outside activities LBG offer, for example they are completing a colour dash in may in order to raise awareness for their chosen charity mental health UK
Yes
If anyone is looking to pursue a career in banking then i would urge them to start with an apprenticeship then progress with the more knowledge that you gain
Make sure you be yourself and be confident when speaking to people
