Each day is different, depending on your placement you could be on the shop floor helping out with hands on work or at your desk replying to emails/updating spread sheets.
I have both developed existing skills and learnt loads of new skills working alongside engineers and tech's in Leonardo. Everyone is very keen to help the apprentices.
I have really enjoyed my programme and would highly recommend it to others.
I feel very valued, everyone in the company gives their time up to help apprentices, this can be in the form of a presentation explaining what their role is or working with them on a task
The programme is very structured and if you have any questions the apprentice team will help out.
We receive loads of support, they are very approachable and happy to help.
I receive a lot of support. My placement manager has spent a great deal of time with me even thought he is extremely busy.
The salary at the start is good and increases annually. If you live further away from the site make sure you car share and you will save a lot of money.
Plenty. There are several games of football arranged and groups of employee's go for a jog on lunch. There are also loads of social events organised such as pub quizzes.

It gives you the chance to explore different areas of the business and you have a say in your final placement and therefore your potential full time position.
Ask loads of questions, speak to as many of the employees at the assessment centre & don't panic. If you are enthusiastic it will get you far.
