My job role at Aldi is being a logistics assistant. Daily tasks for me are labeling products that have comne into the warehouse and making sure the correct date is wrote onto the label. Also once this is complete, I use a scanner to book the products into the warehouse so they're eligible to be picked by the pickers. I am responsible for making sure that i have inputted the correct date onto the label to ensure that it doesn't run out of date before the customers buy them from the store's they're going to be delivered to. This is a job I do everyday because we have products coming into the warehouse daily. I interact with everyone inside the chiller to make sure that I am doing my job correctly and other Deputies know what my plan is for the day. I have to interact with many drivers daily just making sure that they know where they are putting products in the warehouse and making sure it is done in a safe manor.
The qualifications I have earned since working at Aldi is a C grade in Maths and English. I have developed more confidence while being at Aldi as there are lots of people working in the warehouse, I have also developed how to do my job independently and making sure I know if there is any problems with the jobs I am doing and try to solve the problem myself without turning to a manager instantly. I have learnt all the Deputy roles in every department in the warehouse this is great for me as I know what happens on a day to day basis in each department.
Working at Aldi did meet my expectations massively. I am constantly working on something every minute of the day and never stood without a job. The team of Deputies I work with are very helpful and trustworthy of me because they know that I can do jobs well and quickly on myself. I enjoy every minute of everyday at Aldi because of the high intensity of work that there needs to be done and how quickly everything needs to be done.
I feel very valued at Aldi because I am always getting praise off Selectors, Managers etc. Every manager I work under involve me in every task that is possible so that they're always keeping me busy. My managers [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] always give me confidence boosts as they're always praising me on how hard I am working each day and explain how I am making a difference at Aldi at such a young age.
My programme was set out how I expected. The induction I had at Aldi was planned out to be taught how to drive a Low level order picker and show the basics of stacking and that's what happened on the day. The support i receive by members of staff is brilliant because they knew that my experience in logistics was very low so they helped me settle in very well. Every week I have a meeting with my manager to make sure that i have had a good week of work and make sure they're no concerns.
The support I receive from the training provider is also very good. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] likes to make sure that I am settling in well in the departments I have chosen and likes to make sure that Im going to be comfortable in the area I have chosen so that I can work very hard and get along with everyone in that department.
I receive lots of support from the managers encouraging me to work to the best of my ability, this is very good because working hard on a day to day basis always brings out the best in yourself and allows many rewards in the end.
The wage I earn for my age is very good. It allows me to have the best quality things out of work including my car i have. I wouldn't have the car I have now if it wasn't for Aldi. I wouldn't have half as much clothing if it wasn't for working hard at Aldi and earning the money myself.
Some events that are coming close to date is our football charity event. This is a company based event where we're funding to raise money for TCT. This will involve many staff from inside the workplace to help raise money. In my spare time when I am not working I attend the Metrodome Leisure Centre i also got a discount on a memebership by working for Aldi.

Aldi is a great company to work for with great hard workers inside. Everyone inside the warehouse is very supportive and friendly that everyone can do there work without any worries. Once you start working for Aldi you realize that you're working for the Best British Supermarket in the world and when Aldi are winning all the rewards it feels good to be apart of that and knowing your hard work in the warehouse and stores is making a difference world wide.
On the application process answer every question to the best of your ability and make sure you add as much detail as you can. Interviews and Assessment days make sure you're dressed smartly preferably in a shirt and tie this gives a very good first impression, be very calm and confident you're expected to be nervous however it is only for a few hours then you could have the job!! The opportunities are out there for everyone to grab just make sure you reach out with two hands and work very hard once you're given the opportunity.
